The girls are hitting the mall. I elected to stay home and play “Mr. Domestic”. Making our favorite holiday snack – a version of the good old “Chex Mix”, embellished a bit by my mother years ago. Probably not the healthiest snack in the world, but the kids demand it. That’s my excuse and I’m stickin’ to it. Last of the outdoor lights go up in a few minutes and I’m fixing another much-requested recipe for dinner – our version of a “New England Boiled Dinner”. It’s never as good as it was with my grandmother’s homemade noodles, but it’s pretty close, thanks to the frozen ones from the supermarket!
I could pull a random link as a gift to y’all, but I honestly haven’t had time to read through them. This post was written around trips to the kitchen, laundry room and the bushes in front of the house. The ones begging for lights. Nothing like waiting till the last minute, huh?
