It’s early afternoon, Christmas Eve 2007. Most of the packages are wrapped, we’re headed out for a couple of final items.
—–UPDATE—
Okay, so it’s now 10 pm and there are a lost 8 hours somewhere! Wrapping gifts, dinner with daughter and her boyfriend, more wrapping, cookie-making (that continues at this hour). I’m exhausted. A bit more wrapping remains. I thought this year was supposed to be “lean”, in terms of gifts. Somehow, things (apparently) got a bit out of control. No huge gifts for anyone, but certainly lots of little things. Of course, part of that is because of the daughter’s boyfriend and our son’s new wife. That adds to the gift count, obviously.
So, while I head back to help the Mrs. with cooking and wrapping paper, hopefully we’ll get it done and get to bed in time to get up for Christmas day eating and gift opening. I thought these things were to become easier when the kids grew up! Hah!
Have a very Merry Christmas. We’ll be talkin’ at ya’ soon.
