This sounds like something an ex-boss of mine would have demanded that we do on the air. It’s wrong. You don’t get any useful quotes out of it. And, it pretty much means you’re not going to be at the top of their “good guys” list. Not that it’s a journalist’s job to be friends with candidates, but sucker punches aren’t good, either.
