Saturday Night’s All Right For…

Pizza. Let’s just chalk this episode up to “the best laid plans of…”. We seldom fight the restaurant crowds on Valentine’s Day, electing to wait until the following weekend. We were planning to go to our “favorite” nice place, not far from the house. Then, this morning, she decided a visit to a new Italian restaurant sounded better. I left a reservation request on their answering machine and we planned to hit their door at 6:30. About 4:00, they called and said they were completely booked, unless we wanted to wait until 9:00 or later. We decided another day would be better. So, we explored the alternatives, including falling back on our original plan, but decided to downscale tonight and save the “big” dinner for another night. So, we went to a neighborhood pizza place that we hadn’t visited for a couple of years. What a pleasant surprise! The salads and pizzas were twice the size we remembered and we brought the vast majority of the two pizzas home for another day. As they say, “all’s well that end’s well”.

I was shampooing carpets this afternoon, so didn’t have much time to hit my bloglines. And, tonight, I’m too darn full to concentrate. It’s like Thanksgiving, all over again.
