I guess we’ll all have to start tossing our own bags into the belly of the Delta planes. I don’t see how you can trim 30,000 positions and not severely cripple service.

They are offering it to 30,000 peeps, expecting maybe 2000 takers. They are not going to cut their work force by half. Maybe the way the news has reported the layoffs have caused some confusion.
