Well, this one certainly escaped my attention last week and over the weekend. It really is strange that more has not been made of it. Or, perhaps, it’s not that strange, given the current sad state of journalism in the United States.
Lost in all the hubbub of the past week was the news that “Curveball” — the mysterious Iraqi engineer whose bogus claims on Saddam’s weapons capabilities were used by Team Bush to justify invading Iraq — has been outed. Even better: He now says he never made those claims in the first place. Ooops.
