I have a real problem with American Airlines. Are employees too incompetent to do the wiring changes correctly the first time? Or did the airline fail to tell them exactly how to do it? America’s airline industry (not just American) is getting pretty close to the point where travelers will look for some other way to get around. Not that there are all that many options, but things are bad and getting worse when you fly. Not only is there the over-riding safety issue, flying just isn’t fun any more. Planes are smaller, seats are cramped (and it’s not just that I’m getting wider, thank you!) and you don’t even get a back of snack mix on most flights!
So, American inspected all the MD-80’s a couple of weeks ago. Now, they’re forced to go back through them, because they weren’t fixed right the first time. Talk about making passengers feel confident!
